Welcome back to the Dangerotic blog, Besties!
Mmmmm…yeah, now that just feels right.
Holy crap, I can’t believe it’s already June. Where has 2026 gone? I think I say this every year about this time…of course, there’s no way to go back and verify that now that the old blog is gone.
I want to thank all of you for sticking with me through the transition to this new site. Not to make it seem more dramatic than it was, but seriously you guys, I received so many kind messages and words of support when the last blog went down… you all really are like a bunch of bffs to me.
And I have to send out an especially big Thank You Thank You to Bestie Just A Random Guy, who was an amazing help in getting this new site up and running. He was so generous with his time and knowledge, and I am so grateful for his assistance. Which I am sure will be on-going as I continue trying to figure all this out.
On that subject, I have decided not to migrate any of the old blog to this new site. Mainly because I like the idea of having a clean slate.
When I started the original blog it was because someone had pirated my Scarlet Dove saga from Literotica, and was selling it on Amazon. (It has since been taken down I believe.) Honestly, while I was obviously miffed about that bullshit, it was also exciting. If some scummy, lazy, untalented, uncreative, unethical pirate can copy/paste my work and sell it as their own, what’s stopping me from making something new and wonderful and selling that on my own? Obviously nothing, because here we are about to be seven books into my self-publishing.
Actually, at the time I was more frustrated with Literotica. Not because they didn’t/wouldn’t/couldn’t help me but because I wasn’t even able to contact them to be told they wouldn’t/couldn’t help. I sent a few messages to their various contact points asking if there was anything I could do, and: radio silence. But that was what led to me realizing I needed to evolve, and carve out my own space, and so I started the Dangerotic blog…and look at all the fun we’ve had because of that decision!
So, I’m trying to keep all that in mind now. Sometimes life doesn’t send you a soft, patient message saying “hey, I think you’re ready to evolve.” Instead it just shouts “Darwinism bitch! Evolve or die,” and then jerks the rug out from under you.
Now to be fair, losing my Wordpess blog wasn’t all that dramatic…and the Dangerotic blog was in violation of the extremely vague WordPress adult content guidelines. So I guess it was always just a matter of time before they caught up to us… In fact, that’s probably where Just A Random Guy helped me the most: locating and selecting a webhost who will, hopefully (fingers double extra crossed), be more friendly to the perilous, sexy fun we like to have here. Or at least, y’know, won’t notice for another several years.
So, back to my original point: I have decided not to migrate the previous blog to this new site because I am excited for a new start and a clean slate. This will give me a reason to go back and add a fresh layer of polish to the things I think are worth re-posting. And it will also give me an excuse to redo the articles and topics I think are ready for a new take. For example, I think I could rewrite the “Distressing Your Damsel” series so much better now. Those were the articles where I listed and discussed the various types of peril that could be inflicted on a heroine. I’m excited to delve into that topic again but with a fresh take. So that’s definitely one thing that will be on the docket…But enough about all that, let’s get to the WIP Update:

Bombshell Issue 6… Is….finished.
Edited. Polished. Completed.
Holy. F’ing. Shit.
Clocking in at a word count of 107,734 (that’s proper novel length y’all), Bombshell issue 6 is the second longest thing I’ve written (Ener-G & the Luminous Quantum Matrix clocked in at 126k+). I’m proud of issue 6. I’m excited to share it with you guys. I think it’ll be worth the wait. But oh boy what a wait. Axis Of Evil was published in 2023, so we’ve all been cliffhanging for three years. I’m not sure anything can actually live up to that much anticipation, but this novel is a perilous good time that brings **Minor Spoiler in-coming (oops)** the Crimson Circle storyline to a raging climax (pun most definitely intended). Just a little more patience guys. Promise.
So what are we waiting for? The cover. I’m not saying this to throw Dritch McAbre under the bus, just the facts. They’re working on it. Quality work, especially quality artwork, takes time and is worth waiting for. It’s coming. Soon.
So, what’s next?
First and foremost: Hot Heroine Summer!
You’ve already seen the first installment of these stories, which will feature my heroines in non-perilous, slice-of-life erotica.

And you seemed to really enjoy it. I was honestly so excited at the positive reaction. I don’t know why, but I still get a little nervous whenever I do something that’s not superheroine peril, even though you are all always supportive of it. So, thank you!
I’ve already got more Hot Heroine Summer planned, and some even partially written. I’ve actually thought this would be a fun idea for a couple years now, a more light-hearted summer series of short(er) stories. Recently, I’ve been working on them off-and-on while finishing Bombshell Issue 6. Honestly, it’s been fun and pretty cathartic; I don’t want to oversell anything but the peril in Bombshell Issue 6 is pretty intense (this is definitely the “Going Harder” novel), so it’s been nice to have these as a lighter, softer outlet.
Maybe a quick little hint at what’s up next.

Sidenote: I can never decide whether I want to hype things up or downplay them and try to surprise you guys. I am a shameless tease…but I’m not terribly marketing minded. And I’ve always liked the idea of just dropping stuff on the blog every Friday, and you just have to show up to see what it is. I also have a lot of old-school pro-wrestler in me that hates pulling back the curtain too far. Like, I worry sometimes about how much I should tell you guys about my process, what I’m working on, where I’m at in the process, what I’m planning, etc. etc. Will it kill some of the anticipation? Or do you like seeing projects in progress?
Actually, why don’t you all weigh in on this? Let me know down in the comments, do you like more detailed WIP updates where I let you know how a given project is coming along? Or more of a vague trickle of information? Would you rather not have any update and just be surprised to see what comes next? Tell me your thoughts, Besties!
Now for something completely different…

This project is unlike anything I’ve shared with you guys before. I’ve hinted and sort of vaguely referenced my cucky/hotwifey/NTR interests, but I’m always hesitant to delve too deep into them, because I’ve seen such toxic backlash to these kinks in other places. And because I’m not sure how much of an overlap there is with SHIP and cuck/hotwife/NTR. So I’ve always just kind of kept it to myself, played and explored on my own in little stories written basically just for me…And now I have like, I dunno, a whole series worth of sexy, cucky, hotwifey writing, just begging for me to do something with it.
This is actually what happened with the Scarlet Dove years ago. I just started writing, mostly while I couldn’t sleep at nights due to stress from my divorce, and when I looked up at the end of that summer…I had a whole epic saga worth of heroine peril. Then I just chopped it up into more self-contained issues, and polished them into the original Scarlet Dove series.
So that’s what I’m going to do with this cuckold/hotwife story. I’ve already started breaking it up and polishing some of it. Which has been another thing I’ve used when needing a break from the intensity and peril of Bombshell issue 6.
Don’t worry, I’m not going to start beating you all over the head with my cucky kinks, it’s just a smaller side project. But I am pretty excited about it. And I do want to be able to share it with any of you who are into this kind of thing. And and, I love sharing my excitement with you guys, so I’m trusting that you’ll have fun seeing me, your bff, get excited about something, even if you aren’t particularly into it…
Hmm…that sounds kind of cucky in itself, doesn’t it?
Probably best to move on then.
I’ve also been sort of half-considering a few ideas for non-erotic writing as well. I know that sounds boring, right? But there is one in particular that has grabbed me. As you all know I’m a horror girly, and while I play around with some horror themed SHIP, or sometimes more erotic themed horror, every Spooky Season, I can never fully shake the urge to just write a pure horror story. And not some elevated, high-brow horror literature… I want to write something trashy, campy, exploitative and fun, like a proper 70s/80s popcorn chiller. Or a paperback from hell.
Side tangent: Anyone else getting sick of modern horror trying to infuse some kind of message, allegory, or political view into their movies? It’s supposed to be subtext, you guys, SUB-text. But all these pretentious, little film-school students-turned-industry-professionals are just so damn proud of their clever little allegories that it becomes the TEXT and sucks all the fun out of it. How am I supposed to enjoy your characters getting murdered, when I’m too busy being clubbed over the head myself with your “message”? Hereditary was such a depressing, miserable slog to get through that anytime the actual horror stuff started, I was just relieved. The 2022 Texas Chainsaw Massacre literally had a scene where a bus load of Gen Z city slickers hold up their phones and threaten to “cancel” Leatherface if he tries anything. For sucks fake. But guess what…no one is going to discuss your message when it’s right out there in front. The discussion and interest is in the interpretation and analysis. Friends aren’t going to discuss or argue over the themes of your movie when those themes are blatantly explained in the third act, Clown In A Cornfield. It’s like they’re all trying to make a movie that will impress their favorite YouTuber enough to make a video essay about it, and… and I just… I can’t.
Okay, maybe I’m getting a little long winded and petty here…
Anyway…I’ve got this idea for like a banshee as slasher story. Light on Irish folklore and heavy on screams that kill you. The title? “Hear Me Die.” Can’t you just see that worn-out VHS box on a shelf in the H section of your local Family Video on a Friday night…?

It’s admittedly more of a loose concept than a Work In Progress, so I’ll move on…but don’t be surprised if we’re talking about this again when we get closer to Dangerotica.com’s very first Spooky Season!
Aaaaannnnnnd of course, of course, I have so much Superheroine Peril planned!
I’m having a lot of fun branching out and trying my hand at other kinds of erotica, but I don’t foresee myself ever not writing SHIP. However…
The Bombshell series has been on wordcount creep from the start, with issue 1 being around 40k climbing to 107k+ by Issue 6. Ener-G & the Luminous Quantum Matrix was 126k+ and like seven years in the writing. And I am very proud of those end results….but honestly, I’d rather be writing more novelette to novella length SHIP (which is to say somewhere between 10k words to 30k).
I was really excited about last year’s Ener-G & the Quantum Necro Forge, and Power Couple: What Music They Make. THOSE are the kind of stories I want to be writing more of. I’d rather put out several of those a year, than even if I was getting the longer novels out within a year. So I’m going to be shifting my focus to that in the near future: Shorter SHIP, more often.
Of course, it was never my intention to more than double the length of the Bombshell issues, that’s just the kind of thing that happens sometimes when I’m following the muse. And I will always follow the muse. But there are just so many things I want to do. I have like 3 ideas for new heroines that have been simmering for a while. Five new villains I’ve come up with accidentally while sitting on my back patio with a glass of Four Roses.
I also have at least one new misadventure for Hyper Star I want to write – sidenote: I really kind of feel like she’s gotten the short end of the stick. My own fault, I know; I created her to be a short story heroine, and then Cult of the Filth King was a total flop because I rushed it out for Spooky Season one year, instead of giving it the proper time and attention. Still, I see so much potential in Hyper Star that I’d really like to give her more development and bring her into her own in the Perilverse.
I also have an idea for a new Ener-G story. And I want to get back to Saint Falls to check in with the Power Couple. Of course, that one may be a little more self-serving as I’ve made no secret Zen and Xen are shameless self-inserts for me and my unofficial girlfriend, Liz Bombs. Although, it’s not like I can help but to overdevelop even the most simple of ideas, so there’s tons more I’d like to do with the Power Couple too.
So that’s my plan for now: to start focusing on smaller but more numerous superheroine misadventures.
**heavy heaving sigh**
Except of course that I am also dying to write the big Perilverse crossover…

…and have been since publishing Ener-G & the Luminous Quantum Matrix. Seriously, it hasn’t been in official development or anything, but I can’t help but think about it, and drive-storm about it (that’s when you’re errant, behind-the-wheel daydreaming turns into an unofficial, brainstorming session), and now I already have a pretty solid overall concept. I know the villainous plot. I know why/how/what brings the heroines together. I have a few fun twists and several ideas for group peril. And I know that it’s going to have to be at least 100k+ words (and probably way more than that) to get in everything I want. It absolutely is not something I want to rush, or short-change, or kill any darlings for…I want it big, and fun, and overstuffed with sexy peril and action, and overflowing with Perilverse fan-service.
I want to make the Perilverse Avengers, not the Perilverse Defenders.

(And like, I loved the Defenders, but you can love something and still see/admit its flaws and short-comings.)
So the crossover is something I’m going to be working on very slowly and very in the background. I’m going to take my time and have a lot of fun developing it. It’s the kind of thing that I’ll really enjoy scribbling notes about by hand, while sitting out back with a glass of bourbon, and some blues playing, with the mosquito lamps burning. I’m actually going to build a full outline for it, despite being more of an intuitive writer. For this I want to make sure I can fit in everything I want, while keeping it from becoming any more of a jumbled mess than it has to be. And then when it’s so ready to be written than I can’t not write it…that’s when I’ll sit down to write it.
And in the meantime, I’ll be more diligently working on all those shorter misadventures. And Claire’s Game. And maybe that banshee thing…
One last topic before we call it a day; I know I have referenced several stories that previously lived on the blog; Ener-G & the Quantum Necro Forge, Power Couple: What Music They Make, Hyper Star: Cult of the Filth King…All of which are currently unavailable to you guys. Not to mention all the other erotica I posted there. I’m definitely not just going to leave that all as lost media, but I also want to take this opportunity to put a fresh coat of polish on them as they’re getting reposted. So that’s another reason I’m not just migrating and resharing everything.
Actually, I’ve been toying with the idea of turning some of them into ebooks, maybe even adding Villain Endings to them. Which would of course, add another project to a pretty lengthy list of projects, but there are a few VE’s I’ve been thinking about for a while now…looking at you Nightmare in Auburn Hills...

Oh my gosh, we’re also going to have to figure out how to reshare all of Perilverse Fan #11’s incredible covers! Hmm, maybe I should just make a whole gallery and put them all together. New Cover Wednesday (and later Fine Art Friday) was always so much fun, but I also hated that so much of his wonderful artwork ended up buried so far back in the blog.
Well, as you can see, Besties there is a lot to do still with the new site. New construction as well as reposting the classic content. On top of all the new writing I need to-wanna-gotta get to. And of course, when you finish something like 107k word novel, there’s going to be a bit of a lull while your creative juices recharge. But it’s all fun things that I am without a doubt looking forward to!
So, if any of them are going to happen, that means I’d better get back my keyboard and coffee.
Take Care, Talk Soon,
Your bff, L J
